After 10 years of back pain, my salvation is on the horizon. It seems as though some wonderful, and soon to be wealthy, individual or company has come up with an artificial disc replacement for those of us with back pain. Now unless you have personal experience with this degenerative condition, you might not be as giddy with anticipation as I am.

For lower back without fusion, like you and I would need, maybe 5-7 years. I hope it is worth the wait!
